To help you navigate, almost all the pages have a standard layout. In each page's header and footer you'll find a link to its parent page, a link to a site map that indexes all pages, and the date that the page was last modified.
If you see broken images, get a browser that can view PNGs. This is a GIF-free site. Now that Unisys is shaking down websites that use GIFs for a $5000 license fee, you should burn all your GIFs too.
You can see a list of my upcoming speaking engagements.
If you're with the press, or want me to give a talk, here are answers to the usual questions.
You can fetch my PGP public key here. I support widespread use of strong cryptography for privacy, and encourage you to use PGP encryption with this key when sending me messages. If your mailer makes this difficult, consider switching to Mutt.
You can read all about my projects, past present and future, including the software and FAQs and Web resources I maintain.
Want some free stuff? I have hardware and documents looking for a home.
I do consulting under the Thyrsus Enterprises service mark. You can surf to my resume from here, if you're interested in my career or qualifications. I'm not in the market for a job just now, though, unless you can offer a project that really fascinates me.
You can read personal stuff about my life and politics and hobbies and friends. You may also find my writings of interest. If you're looking for The Cathedral and the Bazaar or any of its followup papers, my writings page is where you'll find them.
You can send me mail at .
Shortcuts to some of my pages and projects are collected below.
If you enjoy these pages, and you need high-quality Linux hardware, see the good folks at VA Linux Systems, and tell them Eric sent you. I'm a member of VA's board (I like to say ``I liked the company so much, I let them make me a director''); they occasionally throw resources at me that help my projects, and are generally active in supporting open-source development and the Linux community.
